jungle adventures

Discover 50+ hectares of nature reserve with 1,5 km of river and a big hill with primary rainforest. Home to howler monkeys, wild pigs, foxes, otters and many birds, like the toucan and an endless variety of hummingbirds!

Within walking distance we have many many beautiful waterfalls, hidden deep in the jungle on our land or that of our neighbors. It's on private terrain, so no other tourists can go there! How 'off the beaten path' would you like to go?!

Adrenaline junkie? Jump off high rocks, ride a tube through water rapids, rappel off a bridge, climb up a steep jungle wall, or try your luck on the slackline across the river.

The jungle provides the perfect soundscape for a restful nights sleep after a day of adventures. Drift away to the chirping of crickets or the pattering of rain on the roof. Wake up to an orchestra of tropical birds and the growls of the  howler monkeys. Live with the rhythm of nature.

slow living in nature

After a long hike, like to Ciudad Perdida -The Lost City-, soak your feet in the fresh water of the Buritaca river and cool off. The water comes straight from the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and is often so clear, you can see the bottom, where small fish abound.

Hang out on one of multiple sandy beaches. Take a swim with a breathtakingly  gorgeous jungle backdrop. Keep an eye out for huge blue butterflies and clouds of small yellow ones fluttering above the water. Sometimes the dogs or the horses come to visit the beach, go for a swim with them!

Spot Kingfishers at the river and hummingbirds in the tropical garden. Relax in a hammock, do yoga or meditate while listening to the sounds of nature. In the evening we sometimes have movie-night in our open-air hammock cinema or we gather around a camp-fire.
