Hostel Visitor Agreement & Rules and Regulations

Welcome to Blue Dot! We are committed to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all our guests. To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone, please read and follow the rules and regulations outlined below. By checking in or visiting our hostel, you agree to comply with these terms.

1. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in Time: between 08:00 and 18:00
     

  • Check-out Time: 12:00
     

  • Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability. Please inform the front desk in advance if needed. Be aware that a late check-in is not possible due to our remote location! 

 

  • Guests must present a valid government-issued ID upon check-in.

2. Behavior & Conduct

  • Respect Others: We expect all guests to behave respectfully and considerately towards other visitors, hostel staff, and neighbors. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior (including loud noise, harassment, or vandalism) will not be tolerated.
     

  • Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from [Insert time] to [Insert time]. Please respect these hours to allow all guests to rest.
     

  • Smoking & Alcohol: Smoking is only allowed outside and never under the roof of any building. Alcohol consumption is allowed only in designated areas. Excessive drinking or unruly behavior will result in immediate eviction from the premises.

3. Security & Personal Belongings

  • Personal Belongings: The hostel is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please ensure your valuables are kept with you at all times, especially when you are not in your room.
     

  • Security: Always be mindful of your personal items in shared spaces. While there are at this moment no lockers or locks on dorm rooms, we encourage you to keep valuable items with you or in a secure location. 

4. Housekeeping & Cleanliness

  • Keep It Tidy: Please keep your area tidy and dispose of your trash properly. Guests are expected to maintain cleanliness in common areas.
     

  • Food: Food is not allowed in the dorm rooms. We provide healthy, delicious, and affordable meals prepared fresh daily in our hostel kitchen. Our kitchen and dining area are available for guests to enjoy meals. Please refrain from bringing outside food into the hostel, it is not allowed.
     

  • Confiscation of Outside Food/Alcohol: Any food or alcohol brought from outside the hostel may be confiscated by staff. This is to maintain the health and safety of all guests, as well as to ensure that our provided meals and beverages are enjoyed by all.
     

  • Laundry: Laundry services are available at 20k cop per kilo. Please follow the instructions provided. Laundry is not permitted to be hung in dorm rooms or common areas. Please use the designated drying lines provided.
     

  • Cleaning Fee for Pollution: If a guest pollutes the premises (e.g., vomit, excessive trash, or other significant mess), a cleaning fee will be added to their bill. The fee will cover the cost of deep cleaning and any necessary repairs. Please respect the cleanliness of our hostel and keep your space tidy.

5. Visitors

  • Visitor Policy: Only registered guests are allowed to stay in the rooms. Visitors may be allowed to enter common areas, but must be accompanied by the registered guest.
     

  • Visitor Hours: Visitors are allowed only between 8:00 and 18:00. After this time, all visitors must leave the premises.
     

  • No Overnight Guests: No overnight guests are permitted without prior approval.

6. Alcohol, Drugs, and Illegal Activities

  • Drugs: The use or possession of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited. Any guest found in violation will be immediately evicted and reported to local authorities.
     

  • Alcohol: Responsible alcohol consumption is allowed in designated areas. Excessive drinking and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
     

  • No Outside Alcohol: Guests and visitors are not allowed to bring alcohol from outside the hostel. Blue Dot offers a selection of beverages for your convenience, and we encourage guests to enjoy these within the designated areas.

7. Food Policy

  • No Outside Food: Guests and visitors are not permitted to bring food from outside into the hostel. We provide healthy, delicious, and affordable meals prepared fresh daily. Our kitchen and dining area are available to all guests for their dining needs.
     

  • Confiscation of Outside Food/Alcohol: Any food or alcohol brought from outside the hostel may be confiscated by staff to ensure the health and safety of all guests. We ask that you kindly respect this policy.
     

  • Special Dietary Needs: If you have specific dietary requirements, please inform us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

8. Pets

  • Pets: No pets are allowed unless explicitly stated. Please check with the front desk in advance if you wish to bring a pet.
     

  • Feeding Pets: For the health and well-being of the pets in the hostel, please do not feed them. Certain foods can be harmful to them, and feeding them could cause distress. Please leave the feeding to the hostel staff.

9. Adventure Activities & Responsibility

  • Adventurous Nature: [Hostel Name] is situated in a location full of exciting and adventurous activities. We offer unique experiences, including treehouses, a river with rocks, and various outdoor activities designed to help you connect with nature and enjoy your stay.
     

  • Visitor Responsibility: While these activities can be fun and thrilling, they also come with inherent risks. We expect all guests to participate responsibly and with caution. It is the responsibility of each visitor to assess their own abilities before participating in any activities.
     

  • Insurance: We strongly recommend that all guests have appropriate travel insurance that covers activities such as hiking, climbing, swimming, or any other potentially risky activities during their stay. [Hostel Name] will not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or damage to personal property that occur during these activities.

10. Adult-Only Policy

  • Adult-Only Hostel: Blue Dot is an adult-only hostel, and guests must be 18 years or older unless explicit permission is granted by hostel management. If you are traveling with minors, please contact us directly to discuss potential exceptions. We reserve the right to refuse check-in to any guest who does not meet this requirement.

11. Penalty for Agreement Violation

  • Penalty Fee: Any guest found violating the rules and regulations stated in this agreement may be subject to a penalty fee, which will be added to their final bill. The penalty will depend on the nature and severity of the violation.
     

  • Eviction: Serious or repeated violations of hostel rules may result in immediate eviction without a refund.

12. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least [Insert time, e.g., 24 hours] before check-in to avoid a cancellation fee.
     

  • Refunds: No refunds will be issued after check-in. In case of an early departure, no refunds will be provided unless under exceptional circumstances.

13. Liability

  • Personal Responsibility: Guests are responsible for their actions while staying at the hostel. The hostel is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during your stay.
     

  • Hostel Rights: The hostel reserves the right to evict any guest without notice if they violate any of the hostel rules or cause disruption to the other guests’ experience.

14. Emergency Situations

  • Emergency Procedures: Please familiarize yourself with emergency exits and procedures. In case of an emergency, please follow the instructions of the hostel staff immediately.
     

Emergency Contacts: For urgent issues, contact the front desk or any of the staff of the hostel.

15. Amendments to the Agreement

Changes: The hostel reserves the right to amend or change these rules and regulations at any time. Any updates will be communicated to guests upon check-in or posted in the hostel’s common areas.

By staying at Blue Dot eco hostel, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the above rules and regulations.
